No longer a high growth market, Internet filter software makers have seen continued stagnation in their sales. Net Nanny, the sales volume and features leader for this market, was also experiencing this. Despite their well known brand and excellent feature set (consistently ranked #1 in its class), Net Nanny was unable to increase their online sales conversions. Tasked with increasing the conversion rate, GigaVero proposed that the company increase it's social media efforts, put some feature highlight videos on the homepage, and abreviate the dauntingly long feature lists into 'easy on the eyes' tabbed browsing modules. After having received the go ahead, GigaVero began with the social media campaign. After putting up custom branded YouTube/Facebook/Twitter pages, and scheduling frequent updates, NetNanny experienced some astounding growth in their online social media presence: - YouTube Daily video views increased from an average of 8 a day to 119 a day - FaceBook Friend count grew from 13 to 162 - Twitter Individuals "following" increased from 73 to 5,581 and daily Twitter clicks increased 560% With the help of the Net Nanny product manager, GigaVero produced and placed three feature highlight videos on the home page. Overnight, product sales jumped and conversion rates increased. In order to further increase conversions, GigaVero created several tabbed rotators (created with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS) to highlight features. Correspondingly, over the next several weeks NetNanny.com saw another jump in sales and conversion rates. These small tweaks, orchestrated by the GigaVero team from November 2008 through February 2009, increased overall sales conversions by 1.5% - resulting in several hundreds of thousand dollar revenue increases for Net Nanny.
